Fort Bend County Libraries will present a special program to encourage aspiring writers, “Developing Strong Female Characters for Texas Fiction,” on Saturday, March 11, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the First Colony Branch Library, 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land. A panel of Houston-area authors who are members of The Final Twist Writers Society — Cash Anthony, Laura Elvebak, Charlotte Phillips, and Becky Hogeland — will discuss how they go about creating the characters that appear in their stories. They will also discuss the process they use in developing their works of fiction.
The Final Twist Writers Society is a Houston-based writers’ group dedicated to supporting authors, providing mentors for aspiring writers, and promoting reading. The workshop is free and open to the public. For more information, call the First Colony Branch Library at 281-238-2800.

The Final Twist had a wonderful book signing and author panel for two of our anthologies at Katy Budget Books. We discussed Deadly Diversions, our newest offering, as well as A Box of Texas Chocolates as it was so close to Valentines Day. There were goody bags for all our fans, a drawing for custom bookmarks, and a refreshments! Here are a few pictures from the event.
