The Final Twist is a Houston-based writers group dedicated to supporting our authors, promoting reading, and giving back to the community at large. Several times a year we plan free events. For example, we hosted a Write-In to coincide with National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) this past November. We’ve also coordinated author panels and other inspiring events.
Our writers represent many genres and stages of careers. We welcome writers of all levels to come grow and learn with us.

Normally, meetings are on the first Saturday of the month, our venue schedule and holidays allowing. Please visit our Meetings page for more detailed information. The first three meetings you attend have no charge, as you get to know us and find out if the group is a good fit for you. After that, we ask for you to join the group officially. There are benefits to joining, including participating in the group anthologies.
